Yes they are very rare..even here in southern california where hundreds of LFS you can goto. I got mine at a LFS which was labeled RED EYE PUFFER(WRONG). This LFS also think FANGS and ABEI are the same(WRONG)? one thing for sure you can totally tell by their eyes,the dotted pattern and colorations. ...

well depends on what kind of puffer. Not all burrows. Especially not DP's The substrates will not effect any puffer long as is aged.

yes..if the ada soil is freshly add it never been use. You'll get ammonia spikes for weeks or months. Depending on how many water change you do to get rid of it. Otherwise you're safe.

Even tho im in to planted tanks right now but im still puffer lover true to heart. There' no fish out there that got better personality then a puffer and im sure all if not most people here agree to this.

i find that strange too because his fahaka only 2 1/2 inch long. I feed my puffers every other day and their belly never would get sunken the next day but his fahaka get sunken next day after he feeds him like it go ip's. So are you advicing to feed his fahaka everyday with shrimp,mussels,etc?

told ya...u put anything in there LITERALLY ANYTHING they will eat it or kill it besides their own species..even plecos believe or not
