Re: Gsp Certain behaviors
Anybody have a pair of puffers that sleep next to each other??? They sleep like inches apart!! Is that common? They never fight. Even at feeding time, they share nicely. And, i read about what "bad" poop looks like, but what about the good kind. One of mine pooped out a green one. :0

I should add, this rock was put in my cycled tank and the #'s actually shaped up and stabilized quickly. Should i just leave well enough alone?

I also have these soft worm things that are sessile. They stick out a couple inches and feel around. They only appear at night. And, is 1 bristle worm ok to have? So far only one has shown up. I had this rock for a month. From a long ago established tank. Also, i have tiny little bugs (1/2 size of a...

I have a few patches of this. Guy that i bought the LR from thought it was aiptasia. I cannot find anything on it besides this undescribed photo/drawing. I'll try and get a real pic soon http://pbckt.com/pw.QcFv33 And i have some aiptasia looking things in my tank, but does that retract very fast (a...

Re: Led heatsink/tank heater!
Agreed. Just figuerd maybe i could use it as a supp. To my heater to save electricity and ultimately the environment. I'll try it out on my spare 10g tank. I just see potential energy being wasted.

Led heatsink/tank heater!
I am getting some leds soon for my tank and most of us know that high power leds produce much heat at the diode, but emit little IR heat... My idea is to make a liquid cooled setup that runs (sealed) into the tank water to heat the tank. Anyone else thought about this? Maybe use a thermostat similar...

Re: LEDs
heat sink is just a piece of aluminum. with those being 3watt leds, the cheap aluminum @home depot/home improvement store should suffice...and, with a fan, u'd be golden!!

Re: Skimmer releasing a lot of Microbubbles
Well, if u hve the rio pump, who knows the reason...mine will be all noisy and i flip in on and off quick, and it quiets down...air stone mod helps with micro bubble escape...if u totally skip the venturi process and rely on limewood air stone.

Re: LEDs
Hey guys, just my 2 cents, anything other than cree leds is outdated technology!! Get the 11w cree xpg i think was the one, or more wattage. Each led is about $10 on ebay but, @ 900lumens per diode, well worth it. I had one diode i bought for a flashlight, but it was so bright, i had to use the led ...

Re: mushroom polyps dying???
Well, i have 3 options when it comes to lfs's, and i prefer to support local business, so i buy what i can from this little pet store in town rather than petco or petsmart. Plus, i got a really cool plastic plant tht is from the 70's still in it's package that she had there, and i was allowed to cle...
