My Puffers: I've had 4 figure eight puffers and a green spotted puffer and recently added a new addition, breed unknown to me.

Hmm, similar. But no known records of ever being kept in captivity.

I can't find anything that looks similar I'll just keep looking, thanks for the help.

Ok everyone I was told by a good friend that it is a type of sand puffer. He is very aggressive and the only time he comes out of the sand is to eat. Thank you for all your help. :D

That would make him an "ambush predator". I'll PM Corvus for the ID. Where did you find it?

Gotcha thank you. Its from the Gulf of Mexico I got it from a friend it was to aggressive for him. Do you know much about them?

I'nm sure Corvus will have better info but I think it's good to assume, no tank mates!

Based on the last pic I would guess Southern puffer sphoeroides nephelus.



I definitely think it might be one of the Sphoeroides

Thanks for the link it really helped. After looking through the link you sent me I think it is a Sphoeroides greeleyi green puffer seeing him in real life looks most like those ones. I'm glad to have an idea now.

Looks like Sphoeroides nephelus to me.
