Too Much Filtration?

im going to be setting up an 80-100g tank in a few weeks,
will a 1000gph canister filter be too much?

is there even such thing as too much filtration?

Nope...

No such thing as over filteration as an example on one of my 6x2x2 tanks i have
1x fluval fx5 canister
1x tetratec ex 1200 canister
1x eheim 2212 aquaball
1x aquael internal

i am a firm believer in over filteration.

A lot of filters put up the turnover of the pump with it unloaded, they dont actually seem to do it with media inside. Although eheim seems too

im actually going to use a canister pond filter for my tank

i have 2 small internal filters in my tank and for some reason when both are on ziggy seems stressed and fades, but when only ones on he's fine
