Tap water with Prime conditioner is best.

well being what i think is a pair i would liek to give them the best water quality water i can give them, using r/o on my cichlid tank i have noticed the fish looking a lil healtier, not to say they werent before but just colors looked to pop a little more . so for the puffer i figured it would do the same and help with poss breeding like some do for rays

Where do you live?

Your water authority should be able to provide you with detailed chemical analysis of your water. It will likely be more than adequate for your fish, and probably better than you could do with RO water and reconstituted trace elements.

Despite what you may think, this IS an answer to your question, it's just not what you wanted to hear. If you don't like the answer, you're welcome to search for one elsewhere.

Done.

If you don't like the answers, the courteous thing to do is ignore them. If your mind is already closed, why bother to ask?

Good luck to you and to your fish.

Are you saying there are 2 fahakas in the same tank?
