upon PP mentioning that yes.. it does look very similar. There does seem to be much algae. The white patch .. I am sill looking but but don't know squat about this. It is just interesting research
I think I would go with the "algae" as well... althoug i wish it was the first one!
The LR came directly from the sea (a 30 min ride in a water container) so everything that was on it, reached my tank very much alive.
I really don´t find them to be a real problem (at least they look good, hehehehe), but if it keeps this growth rate, then it probably will become one. They are not "rigid" (as in calcium), but rather rubber-flexible like, wich makes me thing algae too.
