AIPTASIA!!! HELP!!

In the UK people use Aiptasia - X (treatment), or you can inject the aip anemones with lemon juice or get an aiptasia eating filefish - . Are the best options for treating this pest

ya i heard aiptasia x didnt work as well as it stated but lemon juice i could try and the filefish i dont know about but can keep that in mind

I had one of those filefish for about a year. One of my favorite fish. I was catching him out of my DT to transfer over to another aptasia-filled tank. he jumped when I was trying to catch him & landed far behind the tank, in a pile of salt. By the time I could get him out, he was dead.

Hey PP, a Filefish could probably live in a 55g. with a GSP right? And do they have to have a constant supply of Aiptasia to survive?

IN A PILE OF SALT! Do you clean every once in a while? Just kidding, I've been experiencing salt building up in places and making a mess since going full salt.

lol, my thoughts exactly! a pile of salt! ha, anyway, I've been worried about something getting out of my 20 gallon and now I know not to put my aquariums right up against the wall where I can't easily get behind them.

12", it's a Goldspot. Gold nuggets have gold trim on their fins. IDK L#s.

ah i didnt notice no stripe on the fins. not that i would know the difference between them that well to know right away, i do know that gold nuggets have the stripe as well though. nice plecos though!

I forgot about that one. They will eat any meaty foods. I think it's possible to house them together in a 55g, if the puffer isn't too aggressive.

So far, i haven't seen the Copperband butterfly I moved into the "aptasia tank", eat any.

I don't think my puffer would be aggressive towards it, because the only fish that he ever ate was ill and he also nipped at a swordtail while it was giving birth, but usually won't even nip as long as the fish is healthy and leaves him alone. Does freeze dried krill count as a meaty food? Would it eat thawed shrimp?
