Just an fyi, I've used my 3rd gen iPod nano with nike+ on a treadmill and it worked perfectly fine. If all you do is use the treadmill, then you can recalibrate the sensor/software to that gait.

Also, if you want to save some cash, check out the Apple Refurb store on Apple's site. They are refurbished Apple products but they come with the full warranty as if it was new. I bought my Nano through there and Tess' Touch and they both looked and worked like they were brand new. Plus, you can hit ebay and pick up Apple Care for your new iPod for way cheaper than you can buy it in-store.

LOL, domestic at Tess and Kyles tonight! That's good to hear about the treadmill, I never actually tried it out with the sensor and the nano. Now I use the iPhone 3 Nike app, which is GPS based, so it def wouldn't work!

My wife loves her shuffle (incidentally $40) for the treadmill. You can have all your music on your itunes, and since you don't have to worry about a screen or choosing specific songs while it's with you, you can't fall flat on your face while the treadmill runs without you. Older generation or used ipod nanos would be my own personal preference. You can get refurbished ones for a pretty decent deal too.

I have a shuffle, and like how it works just fine... BTW, you don't NEED to buy thru iTunes to add music to one. You can aqquire your music in any way you see fit ( heh ). so long as its an Mp3. Just multi select what you want and drag it to the device icon within the iTunes interface, and... viola!
29 Gallon Marine tank, with refugium, skimmer. Base rock, coral skeletons. Stock: Baby Ocellaurus Clown, young Saddled Toby, 3 Hermit crabs, one 2 inch Bristle Worm, hitch hiking starfish.

10g Biotope. 3 C. Travancoricus (Dwarf Puffer) Some Ghost shrimp, gravel/sand substrate, heavily planted with Swords and Java Moss.

10g LR Culture Tank. 10+ pounds fiji LR / base rock. Assorted hitch hiking inverts

Some FW tanks.

iPod shuffles don't have screens. But other than that, yeah, I can use my iPod to find my way across a dark room.
"I will give you a talisman. Whenever you are in doubt, or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test. Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man whom you may have seen, and ask yourself, if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him or her. Will she gain anything by it? Will it restore her to a control over her own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to freedom for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melt away."

They put out a new version of the iPod Nano last year. My girlfriend got one. Its a tiny 1x1 square with am/fm radio and like 8gigs of space. Has a nice strong clip on the back too so you can clip it on anything you want. A bit pricey but really good if you want to use it for working out and exercising.

A good way to download music if you dont use Torrents would be to type in the band you want on google and put "mediafire" after it. Mediafire is an amazing website. Personally i use BitTorrent and download from ThePirateBay.org or Isohunt.com
