Re: Cover Your Filter Intakes!!!
Hmmm... well so far I haven't experienced ANY of those symptoms. My period's just getting a little different. I'm 51, so I know it's got to start any day now.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Cover Your Filter Intakes!!!
I was into weed for much of my adolescent and adult life, and I would agree with PP that it does more harm than people are willing to admit. I do not think it should be vilified though because I think booze ruins more lives ... but I had some bad side effects from smoking too much cannabis a few years back. I've been clean since coming to the UK (4 years) and only wish I had stopped sooner.
On a different note, because I suffer with chronic pain, I have issues with sleeping .... my doctor has me on nortriptylene and let me tell you, it's excellent for giving me a good night's sleep, and I don't believe it could be any worse than any prescription sleeping pill. I always had "hangovers" the next day after taking prescription sleeping pills, but I don't have that with the nortriptylene. It works really good too, once I take it, I am feeling very sleeping within 20 minutes. Might be something for you to look into PufferPunk.

Re: Cover Your Filter Intakes!!!
I'm going away for 3 days with my mom this week & have a dog trial with Kalvin the weekend after but I will be making an appt with the sleep Dr again, I guess. Not sure this is the right Dr though. I am very concerned about being on such a serious hypnotic drug for the rest of my life, as he says I should be.

Please consider a psychiatrist..go ahead and make an appointment...usually there is a 3 month wait for new patients...if you do not like it then don't go back...
but here is the difference...that hypnotic drug..knocks you out, you can get addicted..and your probably do not feel rested most of the time...
however, if you get a drug that helps with your serotonin imbalance..it will knock out, until you get used to it...but you will wake up refreshed, the pills are probably not going to be addictive..and your sleep will be more natural.
Those hypnotic drugs just deal with your symptoms, not the problem..
oh, and the whole weed stuff...I was just pointing out that her past use of weed is probably not affecting her memory loss..
But just as a side thought...your past drug use was probably a way of self medicating....which leads me to believe that some thing else is going on..not just a sleeping problem..
Re: Cover Your Filter Intakes!!!
So what about the people who use weed long term to deal with medical problems? Do they just do a smaller amount? Or are the side effects just the lesser evil?
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

Oh, I was self medicating for sure!!! And then there was the food...
It was a psychiatrist who 1st prescribed Ambien for me. I do wake up feeling refreshed & am usually not sleepy during the day. Not like when I was getting NO sleep. I would certainly love to know that I had a serotonin imbalance causing this. Why isn't anyone interested in the cause???
