When i first got my puffer, i was feeding it every time it begged. Thought it was hungry until it started getting bloated and lazy. Now i feed every other day, sometimes a little snack of the off days.

..... and i thought my df was in good shape !
When i first looked into getting puffers, alot of the information i gathered was to feed at least three times a day. I did think this was too much as they do seem to eat and eat, even when not really hungry, so i cut this down to once daily. I have been doing this for the past 6 months or so. Are you saying this is still too much then ? I was affraid i was underfeeding :o

He is definitely healthy:) I know what you mean about some sites saying feed several times a day. For the most part, i find it not true with some exemptions ie. tangs, butterflies, and a few others.

Thats why i originally posted it in litres, to try to stop the uk v us gallon confusion :) . The tank's total volume is 681 ltrs, and the sump runs at around 140 ltrs ( allowing plenty of header room incase of a powercut ) . Total system volume is approx 821 ltrs ( 205.25 us gal , or 164.2 uk gal , not allowing for displacement )

Thanks for the feeding tips, most uk sites recommend feeding little and often.

The bigger species often do best being fed every couple of days.

My burrfish needs to be fed every day though, or she loses weight.. dang burr's..

Your dogface is quite large, hehe. Just keep in mind the porc will grow quite a bit larger than the dogface in the long run though.

Really, that's only 180? I could have sworn that was the dimentions of a 210... sorry about that!
