Re: Dogfaced Puffer Information Please
When i first got my puffer, i was feeding it every time it begged. Thought it was hungry until it started getting bloated and lazy. Now i feed every other day, sometimes a little snack of the off days.

..... and i thought my df was in good shape !
When i first looked into getting puffers, alot of the information i gathered was to feed at least three times a day. I did think this was too much as they do seem to eat and eat, even when not really hungry, so i cut this down to once daily. I have been doing this for the past 6 months or so. Are you saying this is still too much then ? I was affraid i was underfeeding

He is definitely healthy:) I know what you mean about some sites saying feed several times a day. For the most part, i find it not true with some exemptions ie. tangs, butterflies, and a few others.east916 wrote:..... and i thought my df was in good shape !![]()

Thanks for the feeding tips, most uk sites recommend feeding little and often.

Re: Dogfaced Puffer Information Please
The bigger species often do best being fed every couple of days.
My burrfish needs to be fed every day though, or she loses weight.. dang burr's..
Your dogface is quite large, hehe. Just keep in mind the porc will grow quite a bit larger than the dogface in the long run though.
Really, that's only 180? I could have sworn that was the dimentions of a 210... sorry about that!
