Please read the GSP article located here: http://www.thepufferforum.com/forum/ug. ... roviridis/eigo wrote:My gsp is fading on the top of his body.. what does this mean? i have 3 of them in a 20 gallon tank and only one is fading away. they were pretty stressed out a couple of days ago. they had a dark belly but thats gone. what should i do?
each GSP requires a 30gal tank... you have 3 so your 20 gallons is too small for them and their waste is poisoning themselves.
Have you done a test on your water? ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?
From my experience, I have ONE GSP in a 40gal and I have to change my water every week to keep the nitrates down.... so your tank is too small for 3 of them. Puffers are very messy that's why they require large tanks.
