My Puffers: 1 porcupine puffer
(Diodon holocanthus)

1 peacock puffer aka spotted sharpnose
(Canthigaster solandri)

3 green spotted puffers
(Tetraodon nigroviridis)

2 figure eight puffers
(Tetraodon biocellatus)

1 fahaka puffer
(Tetraodon lineatus)

3 south american puffers
(Colomesus asellus)

1 twin spot puffer
(Tetraodon leiurus)

7 dwarf puffers
(Carinotetraodon travancoricus)

help! my gsp is fading away!

My gsp is fading on the top of his body.. what does this mean? i have 3 of them in a 20 gallon tank and only one is fading away. they were pretty stressed out a couple of days ago. they had a dark belly but thats gone. what should i do?

each GSP requires a 30gal tank... you have 3 so your 20 gallons is too small for them and their waste is poisoning themselves.

Have you done a test on your water? ammonia, nitrite, nitrate?

From my experience, I have ONE GSP in a 40gal and I have to change my water every week to keep the nitrates down.... so your tank is too small for 3 of them. Puffers are very messy that's why they require large tanks.

nice thanks alot! i didnt know about that! I have a 40 gal tank that i dont use maybe ill do a conversion.. I have to wait and cycle the tank first though.
