Actually not so duh. GSP and Ceylons both have significantly different adult markings.

All of the adult GSPs I've seen have the same markings as juveniles.

A lot of the pictures I've seen of older GSPs lose the circular shape of the spots. A local reef keeper has a 10 year old GSP in his reef tank, and almost none of the spots are circular anymore. I've always thought their markings changed a lot when they got to full size.

Because that F8 is so stressed he's nearly turned black where he should be white, it's a response to poor water quality or other poor conditions, generally.

yeah, when i saw that picture i was under the impression that f8s were ugly. i saw more pictures and realized that they were awesome! i think i'm going to get two f8s for my tank instead of a gsp, since my tank does not seem to hold that much water. it's actually a 28 bowfront, but it looks to hold 25 gallons of water.
