Do a forum search, a user named pepsi has a big F8.

All of the adult GSPs I've seen have the same markings as juveniles.spoot wrote:Actually not so duh. GSP and Ceylons both have significantly different adult markings.

Re: Anyone Have A Full Grown Figure 8 Pic?
A lot of the pictures I've seen of older GSPs lose the circular shape of the spots. A local reef keeper has a 10 year old GSP in his reef tank, and almost none of the spots are circular anymore. I've always thought their markings changed a lot when they got to full size.Boxermom wrote:All of the adult GSPs I've seen have the same markings as juveniles.

What about this F8:

Is that how it's suppose to look when it's full grown

Re: Anyone Have A Full Grown Figure 8 Pic?
I'd be extremely worried if my Figure 8's showed that coloring.
Re: Anyone Have A Full Grown Figure 8 Pic?
why does that one look so different from the rest of the f8s? i think the pic is from liveaquaria.com

Because that F8 is so stressed he's nearly turned black where he should be white, it's a response to poor water quality or other poor conditions, generally.
No matter how magnificent your successes or devastating your failures, the worlds' approximately 5 billion impoverished people could not possibly care less.

That looks like a drawing.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: Anyone Have A Full Grown Figure 8 Pic?
yeah, when i saw that picture i was under the impression that f8s were ugly. i saw more pictures and realized that they were awesome! i think i'm going to get two f8s for my tank instead of a gsp, since my tank does not seem to hold that much water. it's actually a 28 bowfront, but it looks to hold 25 gallons of water.
