I have and Abei and he is VERY mean! He has bit me twice and tried to eat a snail almost as big as him. Anything you put in the tank will be thought of as food, hands included. Good luck on the puffer hunt.

The WalMarts here in Austin,TX will not take anyones advice on the Green Spot Puffers..... Wow, that pic is awful, thank goodness my guy is about 2.5"- 3" right now and his mouth is relatively small. It kinda felt like a quick pinch I guess it was a warning bite, lol... I will leave his plants where they are.

I scoop my puffers poop every other day usually on the off days of feeding. I was laughing with my bf that I was having to scoop poop.... for a fish! but I guess it is a common thing with these guys lol... it really shows up on black sand too.

Has anyone had a puffer so aggressive that it will bite your hand if it goes into the tank? My puffer ate 2 very small crawfish(about 1/2 inch long), and now is in his little cave he looks VERY fat! Is it possible he ate too much? I tried to get the second one out before he could eat it because he ate the 1st on so fast but I wasnt fast enough.

He looks real similar but where the fangs puffer has the two black spots near tail, this little guy has these really pretty orange spots.
