Can someone help me identify my new puffer?

Can someone help me identify my new puffer?

I just got this guy today he is about 2 inches right now. He was listed as a red-eye puffer, which I know he is not. I believe he is an Abei Puffer but would like some opinions please. Thanks :)

Sorry the pic is so blurry I will try to get better one. Hope the second one is clearer.

Looks like schismy007's Tetraodon cochinchinensis - Fangs puffer! Hers is real cute and fat hehe

He looks real similar but where the fangs puffer has the two black spots near tail, this little guy has these really pretty orange spots.

Could be T. cochinchinensis. It could also be M. Abei too. Clearer photos would help a lot in IDing.

I'd guess Abei based on what I can see of markings and spot placement.

Fang's have 2 red/orange spots, turgidus have 2 black ones. Abei have many red spots.

The over-all body colour looks like my Fang's, but the spot near the tail looks like my Abei. These "target" puffers can be buggers to identify. My Fang's is playing his hidey game right now, so I can't see his spots, but that would have been my first guess, although the photo in the PufferPedia doesn't look much like my Fang's either. :?

Thank you all for the help :D I guess I either have a fangs or an abei they both look so similar(this helps me determine adult size a little better) I will try to get better photos of this guy and post them soon. He is a very aggressive little guy. He is very funny too cause like the LFS's mbu he pushes his mouth against the glass when he is hungry. Very interesting guy to watch. They told us to feed him mysis shrimp but he seems to like krill better. How often should this little guy get snails to keep teeth in check? Twice a week? Thanks again all your help and info is GREATLY appreciated!!! :lol:
