Re: Trimming Peak of A.Modestus/silus

awesome. Thank you very much. I hope all goes well with my first trimming. I'll now know what it feels like to be on looking down rather than up from a dentist's chair.

Trimming Peak of A.Modestus/silus

I have two 2" A. modestus in a 55gallon tank that have been doing fine for 6-7months now. Over the last month one of the puffer was getting bigger than the other one and I thought maybe this was natural. Today as i was feeding them, i saw the smaller one has overgrown teeth. The larger one does...

Re: Auriglobus modestus questions

Their diet is pretty much bloodworms daily until they are round and then a snail at night time. Their are small ghost shrimps in the tank to clean up debris and maybe be food. Other than that, i have the Freeze Dried Krill I give to them once a week. What else should i feed my little guys? I hear a ...

Auriglobus modestus questions

I have two A. Modestus in a 55 gallon tank and are doing fine. I have had them both for close to half a year now and feed them daily meals of blood worms and a snail at evening. They both are only about 1.5" long. Is there anyway to give my puffers PGH (Puffer Growth Hormone)? :) do make them b...

Transporting FISH

I have a 55 gallon tank with 2 1" A. silus, 2 danio and a candy pleco. I also have a 30 gallon with ~8 neons, a XL tetra, a frog, molley, platy, Indian dwarf puffer, and a few shrimp and ottos. I was wondering if anyone had an idea for the best way to travel these guys 50min up the freeway to a...

Re: Adding a Figure 8 to a A. Silus tank

ok thats what i thought, I wanted to check with this forum before I did anything I regret!!!
Thanks for the responses, I"ll have to wait to get some figure 8's.
Are figure 8's easier to keep then GSP's? I had a GSP a while back and he was very fragile with living.

Adding a Figure 8 to a A. Silus tank

I have a 55 gallon tank with two A. silus in it. Got lots of plants and rocks to hide and swim around.(I do weekly water changes 25%) I saw tiny little baby figure 8's at the LFS .25-.5 inches long and wanted to see if this tank would support a little figure 8 as well? I know figure 8's want a sligh...

Re: Adding Driftwood to 55 gallon freshwater tank

great! yea it looks like it hasn't changed the water temperature. I like it. I have added some java ferms plants to it, but i don't know how to get them to stick onto the wood. i hear you can get them to grow on the wood somehow

Re: Adding Driftwood to 55 gallon freshwater tank

I added the wood yesterday and it looks great and didn't change the water color. I havn't checked the pH but i'm sure it went down a bit but the puffers seem to be doing fine and maybe a little lower pH is good for them. It was up around 8 before the addition of the wood.

Re: Snails Questions?!?!?!

Myaj I think you are right. I saw eggs on the glass a few days ago and now try are gone. Even the empty sack too. Are you saying I should take out all the mts snails? I have been putting in zuccini and there are a lot of mts snails. More than the pond snails. Could this be the problem? as for the fi...
