Re: my MBU has IPs, bad..
update..
He's doing well... still blind, but still kickin. I'm actually about to do a water change on him. He eats a WHOLE shrimp as often as I'll feed him and two to three baby clams at a crack. I'd still like to find a good home for him, so if anyone has a lead for me, let me know!

Re: Dwarf puffer has ich. :(
There's an article for treatment of Ich in the library. How I treated my ich was 1 tbs aquarium salt per 5 gallons.. temps up to 86 (to speed the Ich life cycle) and 50% water changes every other day -- adding more salt to compensate for the salt removed. This lasts for a month. It's a pain, but it ...

Re: my MBU has IPs, bad..
Just an update.. since it's been a while. Stevie Ray seems to be doing quite well. He eats with gusto -- but is still not seeing as well as he should. I think he can see *something*, but I'm not sure if he really can. I'm going to start trying to get him to feed from tongs, hopefully to make a move ...

Re: Anyone Seen a Ceylon Puffer Like This?
as far as I know, you can't sex a ceylon -- but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong (please do!).
My ceylon never gets that dark, but he does get half gray when he's being sneaky.

It was dead. The bf took it out while I was out of the house, so I didn't get a better look at it.

grow, elvis, grow!!
my puffs will always eat everything, so I have no experience with this.. but holy man, that's a lot of food per feeding.

Re: Feeding fiddler crabs to puffs!
I thought about that.. but there's a line down the middle of the shell that shows off the crab's meat rather nicely..

Re: Feeding fiddler crabs to puffs!
something *happened* to the lone fiddler crab in the MBU tank last night. I found her dead, with a split down her stomach and missing her front claws..
I think she got attacked!

Feeding fiddler crabs to puffs!
I thought my puffs needed a little treat, so I went out and got some female fiddler crabs. I had to go to work, so I don't have any video of the noshing that followed, but I will say that the only puff tough enough to get to the meat of the crab was my ceylon. The GSP just ate off the eyes.. then ev...

I second myaj's theory. That's EXACTLY how my mbu's poo looked at first. A string of pearls.

Re: my MBU has IPs, bad..
sweet. thanks for the responses, guys.
I have noticed the bigger snails eating the geltek-treated clam or shrimp -- generally if there's something left over, anyway. They're treating themselves!
