I have a red clawed crab. They're pretty similar. I actually bought one that was preggo and it ended up releasing all it's babies about a week after I brought it home. I thought my tank had been taken over by a bajillion tiny bugs and immediately did a 90% wc. It wasn't till after a little research I figured out what actually happened. :(

For the middle of the shell, does the meat look whitish or does it just look somewhat brown and fuzzy? Also, I've noticed that my molts tend to be lighter colored so if that's the case, that might be something else to look for? :)

It was dead. The bf took it out while I was out of the house, so I didn't get a better look at it.

I have one fiddler in my feeder tank. I think she's kinda fun. My DP wouldn't even try to eat her. (He won't even eat the cherry shimp I got him!)

The last video was really cool. MUNCH. That 2nd crab ran away with a quickness! I could hear him screaming, "OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!"
