He passed away this morning. After trying our best over the past week, it's really upsetting to lose him.

I don't want any more fish in this tank until I get it cycled properly to say the least, I can't bear to lose another one. Could anyone give me some advise on how to do a proper fishless cycle?

Ok, thank you. I will get a water kit for myself (it will certainly save on gas taking a sample in every week!). Also, I do use marine salt but I was told to put a little more in (about a 3/4 cup for a 15 gallon tank.)

Also, he had a little bit of a cloudy sheen to him when I took him in, but that seems to have cleared up now with the meds. They (fish place) said that it wasn't Ich, but whatever it was is gone now.

I tried feeding my puffers snails for the first time a few days ago. I thought they seemed small enough, but I'm wondering now if the snails were too big, can they cause problems with choking? The reason I ask is that I lost my puffer a few days after the snails and I am hoping it's just coincidence...
