What's known about the fry of these brackish water puffers? Do the breeders lay eggs in brackish conditions? Do the fry migrate into or from a different water salinity? Has anyone ever collected eggs and tried to hatch them?

If anyone wants to see him he lives in House of Tropicals in Glen Bernie MD. Wish he had a better/bigger and more interesting tank though.

You're wrong - I put in the extra power head and waited for some time and still had the cyanobacteria. The treatment was useful. Sometimes it takes more than one thing to fix a problem.

Maybe in the wild puffers find small crustaceans in the algae - are you sure that you don't have baby snails living there?
