I feel that in the wild puffer won't see frog as their food. Probably just an intruder to the puffer's territory, that needs to be chased away or slaughtered. :shock: frogs are also quite fatty. so I guess it won't make a good diet for puffer. btw, that's just my view of frogs as aquarium fish food....

yes. Adding a background will certainly make a difference.

my Fang's puffer swim out of its hiding places more often after I added a background poster to my tank.

will be better if you can add in some floating/tall/board leaves plants to provide more shades/covers.

that's a Palembang puffer.. aka Dragon puffer/Humpback puffer.

a cool lurker that doesn't move much during the day.

my 5inches will rest under the driftwood(its fav spot) for hours before shifting its butt for some stretching.

respond well to fresh/frozen prawn.

I would go for 3 or 4 Carinotetraodon travancorius in a densely planted tank.

How long have you been keeping those guys? I have seen lurkers(arrowhead puffer) begging for food near the water surface but that was after only two months after bagging it home from LFS. I guess you just have to give them a little bit more time to settle down into the tank environment. Or perhaps y...

I noticed my puffer will occasionally bite/chew on those dead coral bits that are scattered around the tank.
perhaps that's their natural way of keeping the teeth in check?.

I have bought some Anubias plants for my tank. Will be tying them onto the driftwood to provide more covers for my fang's puffer.

With me for around three weeks.

1) how many of each could i comfortably house in a 30gal (obviously i know that it is one species or the other :o) 3 SAP or 5 DP in well decorated setup. 2) which would be the most interactive with me? both are active swimmers. you should be able to play around with them once they have settled down....
