Re: how long will a puffer live with forced feeding
Well, the eventual goal is to get the puffer healthy enough that it can eat on it's own. What's the reason for force-feeding?
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...

Re: how long will a puffer live with forced feeding
That's a tough question.
If its done properly, and the puffer learns its a good thing, it may live out its entire live (over 10 years at least). If the puffer never really accepts it, and it stresses the fish out to much, it could considerably shorten their lifespan I would suppose.
Really though, there's probably no way to know for sure. Too much will depend on the individual puffer and situation.

Haha, we posted at the same time! I don't think it would live for extremely long, as the fish must be extremely unhealthy not to eat on it's own. All depends on the reasons for force feeding.

I was assuming lockjaw, and didn't know if that could be reversed?
