Here are some pics of my green spotted puffer. He is still young and in a 20 gallon long. When i move i think i will do a 29 gallon or something? any recommendations? do you think i could get away with 2 in a 55 gallon or no? I am feeding him blood worms and snails his salinity is at 1.002 what do you recommend i raise it up to? hes about 2-3 inches now. I got him at a good store and i know he doesn't have Internal Parasites. Here are the pictures.
He's already decent sized, so you will want to get him into a larger tank within a couple months, with GSP's, it's best to think in terms of ten gallons of water for ever 2" of GSP. I think 2 would probably be ok in a 55 IF they got along well, but I like the shape of a 65 gallon much better, it's 36" by 24" by 18", and it's got room for both with some spare. If you will be sticking with one a 33 long is a great tank, a little extra space, and a lot of length to wander. He's already a bit big for the SG he's at, if I were you I'd bring it up to about 1.009 or so at no more than .002 per week. He's also adoarable, looks a bit like Shakespeare

I guess i did forget to mention that he was in freshwater when i got him they just got them in so they weren't into brackish. So I'm slowly acclimating him to brackish.
Thats excellent, it's good that you do your research. If you want him to say high end brackish to avoid having to get a protein skimmer and live rock or a big sump and other marine ammenities, 1.016 is a good goal SG to reach as they get to maturity, 4-5" or so. If you want to go to full marine for the water purity and to save money on salt, you have to go at least 1.019, from what I have been told.

I'm glad he feeds well, I have one that feeds conservatively, and one that will eat until he can't anymore, and then carry around the piece of food in his mouth until his belly stretches, then as it does, eat it half bite by half bite.

Actually, that's the conservative eater, it's just the only time he stops swimming fast is right after a big meal of a nightcrawler slice, his favorite food. The other one is named Kiwi, because even while so sick at the LFS he could barely swim, he ate so much he was round as a kiwifruit.
