GSP tank size
GSP tank size
First let me explain the situation in our house,
We have 6 tanks running in our house right now, sizes run from 5 - 75 gallons, 2 are saltwater display tanks, 50 and 75 gallon, 3 are 10 gallon and one 5 gallon. I decided to use one of the ten gallon QTs to start a brackish tank for a way too cute GSP. right now he is about 1.5", how long until he needs his tank upgraded?
Also I heard that they can be fully saltwater, when and how gradually should I up his salt? Or should I leave him in the 1.010-1.012 range?

Really depends on his current size...the best policy is to have a fish in the end tank...but that may not always be practical...spoot wrote:weez1959, you said you have a porcupine? Your tanks don't seem big enough to keep a porcupine. Minimum tank size recommened on the site is 120g, although I wouldn't be comfortable having one in less than 200g!
Anyways, not the original post,:P
I was wondering about my GSP... I was considering housing him in my daughter's previous tank which was a 33 gallon (empty right now) but I don't like it's shape, it's 22"tall x 29" wide x 12" deep, I would prefer less tall more length so he'll be in the 10 gallon for a couple months while he's so little. I have a lot to consider with him, he may eventually end up in my 75 gallon but that's if I gradually up his salt to full marine, or he could have his own tank with maybe a BB goby (if I can find one).
