Well,
today has been a good day, got back from Ultimate Aquatics in Fife with 4 new family members,
2 Clown Plecs for the community tanks....but by far the more "OOOOoooh" worthy are the 2 Carinotetraodon Salivator Puffers
Here they are an hour after being released devouring a cockle
The one at the front is the male and the female to the rear.

I strongly recommend having a tank divider on hand. regardless of tank size, the males are so unpredicable you could end up with a dead female, at the first sign he begins to relentlessly chase her, seperate.

I already have another tank running with just glowlights, so should the worst happen i can move one in there and put the glowlights back in the community

the best is to have a much bigger tank... I have a 240l with just a pair... I think they need so much bigger tank then f.eks the irrubesco

It will be interesting to see how your Salivator do over a long period of tiime. Personally I dont think I could justify a 50+ gallon tank for a single pair.

Me too!
I`m hoping to get fry on Carinotetraodons. Irrubesco and salivator and maybe borneensis if I get them to Norway...
And in the 240l I will try to get 2 more females... So there will be 4 salivator there maybe
The male is so big that I can`t think of moving him to a smaller tank

He is stockyer than the female who is more sleek and slender
length wise there is nothing in it really.
