today i went ahead and broke down...i finally got two DP's! i have both of them in a 10G tank, and things seem to be going really well. they are getting along fine now and are all over the place checking things out. i'm very happy to have the both of them. after a few days and they calm down some i will try my luck with take some pictures of them to post. they have each already claimed a cave for themselves, and are eating well. they both have lots of spunk!!!

i woke up this morning to a heater that had stopped working in the tank. so i will take it back today and go with a new and diffrent one. i have only had this one a week! everything else seems to be fine other then the water being at 72 degrees, so i went ahead and turned on the light to help warm it up until the store opens. the DP's still seem to be doing fine other than the chilly water.

You could try doing a water change with slightly warmer water?

i posted the last one before i saw you posted another! i was going to a water change and add some warmer water to it, i've had to do that in the past and it worked fine until the store opened. i just can't believe the heater dies the same night i put the DP's in there! oh well...it can be fixed.

Their names are great, they seem to be very clear indications of what is expected of all of them ... I guess Hannibal is not the guy crossing the Alps with elephants then (gulp) ?

no, (lol) he is named after hannibal from the silence of the lambs movies. there is a face he always makes right before he eats that makes me think about the "hello clarice" line.

I just thought of a name for my dp a few days ago, have had him for about a week or so.

Decided to go with "Splinter" as in Splinter Cell. The little guy is one hell of a sneaky stealthy killer, always stalking out potential prey(snails).
