white spot on fin

Post by rrgg126 »

i just found a white spot on one of my fahaka's fin. its not ick because theres only one and its too big to be ick. im thinking it might be a bacterial infection. what kind of medication can I use; i know copper is bad for puffers.

Maybe Melafix will help, I'm not 100% sure so I'll let the experts answer.
Whats the point of a signature?!

It could be a break in the fin, mine hs several spots on his fins, that don't move or change in size and he's had them since I got him. Old battle scars where the fin has re-healed.

Likewise on mine. I even had them scraped and checked under the microscope and they weren't bacterial or otherwise.
