do any of your puffers regurgitate the shell after eating shelled foods? i've never seen that until i got my fahaka.

Yes, all of mine do. Its sort of facinating to watch them somehow sort out the shell from the meaty food and spit just the shell out.

Every puff I've had does the ol' spit and suck move, oddly even DPs eating shell-less worms.
The rare and elusive SteelGeek has been known to cause great damage to his environs...

Several of my tanks have had a singificant percentage of the substrate as crushed shell fragments. After you keep a puffer in the same tank for 10 years plus, the stuff does build up. When you Python, it forms a distinct layer at the top of the gravel in the tube, bit is less visible in the tanks.
