Question on Feeding Problems

Basically I first had one Dwarf Puffer

Recently I got him another 2 Friend

BUT

I don't know he probably think the tank is his and is sometimes chasing after the new 2 Dwarfs and umm i don't know atleast he's not bitting them

So Whenever i feed them the Oldest Dwarf always eats up all the food, and he bcomes this rounded belly fat buttocks, and the other 2 Dwarfs seems to be affarid of him because after feeding, One of the belly's is a little bit round and the other one's hardly round, and i mostly just put the food on one side of the tank, instead of thrashing them all over, but the problem is the fat buttocks wont' stop eating when the others one haven't ate, soo WHAT SHOULD I DO

should i put food to the far left and far right of the tank? because 2 of the puffer seems to know i feed them on the right all the time, and the other one's just retarded and always sticks him self to the left, and never comes to the right, and i really dont want to put too much food in the tank cause too much left over food and a fat buttocks puffer is always the result

so one more thing the oldest puffer acts like a boss and bosss the other two around, should i take him out then? cause he's really kinda pissing me off always chasing the other 2 fish, he's kinda mean, and the other 2 pussies just takes his walrus

and it's kinda funny after feeding you see this REALLY REALLY fat fish chasing after two kinda skinny fish

Its his home. We often warn about them being territorial and the difficulty in adding more when one or more has already established its territory. It owns the tank, as far as he's concerned.

He's not being mean and the other two aren't pussies. Honest to God, I really don't understand why you have puffers when you really don't seem to like them much! As we've said repeatedly and often, puffers are aggressive and most often do not get along with others. He's very normal.

You might try rearranging the decor/plants so that he has to re-establish his territory and that might give them a chance to do the same. Don't be surprised, however, if it doesn't help. You'll very likely have to return the two, or him, or all three and get something else that will make you happier.

ohhh mabye i'll re arange the plants, but whtaever i love my puffers they are my babies, DUH, you just can't tell, but thanks for the info

Ok all animals even people act the same way...... We don't like change and will fight to keep are space. I mean that's his house he is use to having all of it too him self. If i were to drop my family off and force you to let them sleep in your bed , your telling me this isn't going to piss u off alittle? Now with time he will probably calm down and become less aggressive but it will take a few weeks. The problem with this is the other 2 fish are new and already stressed and then u add fatty chasing them around and biting at them whenever he gets a chance and alot of time u end up killing the new fish from the stress of it all. I agree change the tank's decoration and plants around u might be able to trick fatty into thinking he's in a new home and doesn't own this 1.

You sure are good at making yourself sound ignorant. If nothing else, I applaud you for your honesty. Anyways...everyone else has pretty much answered this, but the two new puffers aren't in a familiar place. If you woke up with a headache in a hotel room in a country you're not even familiar with, and there was someone pushing you around, yelling "get out of my place!", that would be like what the new puffers are feeling.

You should definitely try to make sure all the puffers get food. There's no reason to just feed on one side of the tank. Feed where the puffers are and make sure they all have rounded bellies after feeding. Then, you can clean up any uneaten food. But, if you feed them more carefully like I've said, there shouldn't be much, if any excess food.

Do you have any pictures of your tank? If you have enough plants, the new puffers should be able to find refuge quickly.

Re-arranging is definitely worth a try, i've never had it work myself as the already established fish seems to become use to their surroundings much faster than the newcomers but you should at least give it a go.

I HAVE ANOTHER PROBLEM

so basically

i don't really think they like any of the food i buy em

i mean the live ones first, tubafex and brine shrimp, it just swims infront of them and then they kinda bite down on it, and then that's it

the frozen blood worms, i soaked it with garlice slice, still one of the fish ate like 3 of em and thats' it, the other one just looked at it and swam away

i really dont' know what else to get em

now i know people have suggested me, muslces, or clams

do i just buy the whole one and throw it in? or do i cut it in pieces, cause i feel that it's kinda big to just throw it in?

so is it just me or do i have picky dwarf puffers?

Just stick with the frozen bloodworms and keep trying. DPs are notorious for not eating well when they first get to a new home. It takes them time to really settle in. Mine didn't eat for almost a month when I first got them. They'll be fine and will eat when they are hungry.

Remember, too, that they are tiny. 3 bloodworms is a good meal for one of them. They can't eat much and shouldn't overeat.

Also try chopping up the bloodworms into smaller pieces as well.

Keep a close eye on wter parameters. 1 good reason for any fish not to eat.

hmm thanks guys, ya i check the water everyday it's perfect LOL, or i think it is, i mean there's no amonia or nitrate , i'll try chopping up the bloodworms into smaller pieces, and thanks for reminding me that 3 pieces of blood worms is a lot i wasn' thinking about that
