Hello guys i'm an Italian pufferFAn and i really would like to have a Pufferfish,i got a 100litres tank(25-28 Gal) ,is it possible??? what about one GSP or two Figure eight??? Help me!! My pet store says that my tank it's ok for 2 GSP but I think it's too small for two of them...(in Italy have a puffer in acquarium it's just like have an ALien.... they don't know anything about puffer) Thanks for your help and SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH!!!

GSPs should have a minimum of 30 gallons each. Your tank would be great for a Figure 8 but I think two would be pushing it, and definitely not two GSPs.

That tank is about 26 US gallons, and after adding gravel/sand and decorations it will hold less water than that. I wouldn't house one GSP in it let alone two. GSPs require 30 gallons minimum each, and they get to be 6" long not including the tail. They also need full marine conditions as adults, and after adding live rock to that tank the actual water held would be much less that 26 gallons.
Figure eight puffers need 15 gallons each. Your tank would be incredible for one Figure eight, but a bit small for two. Maybe what you could do is buy one Figure eight and then get a few tank mates? I don't know if they are available in your country, but you could try Bumble Bee Gobies, Knight Gobies, or even mollies.

I thought the "rule of thumb"(not that there is such a thing) was 15 gal for the first F8, and 10 gal for any additional ones...I think 26 gal would be OK for 2 F8's, depending on the actual dimensions/ layout of the tank (long better than a cube)...It is a little tight (bare minimum), but with over filtration (double the regular filtration) and regular water changes, I think it could be pulled off(weekly 50-60%). Stunting would/should not be an issue (tank would have to be visually complex, but not overfilled with decoration) The key would be keeping an eye on your water parameters, and not over feeding. One problem with smaller tanks is they cannot handle the bio-load of such messy fish
