my outgoing DP's

Post by GSPdragon »

I keep reading about how shy DP's usually are at first, how they will often take over a week to start eating etc...

well not my little attention/food hogs. As soon as I brought them home all six were constantly at the glass when I walk in the room, they follow me around the tank as I look inside and they've been hogging down food just the same. It's actually the three otos that share their tank I rarely see, I only know they are alive when I do a major search for them or come in at night and quickly turn on the lights (and watch them zip back into the plants at the back of the tank).

The DP's are just as outgoing and "friendly" as my GSP, actually more so... he is still skittish if I move quickly while they just zip along with my hand etc.

I'll try to finally get some photos this week, the water has long been cleared thanks to purigen and water changes.

GSPDragon, most of the DPs I've gotten are like that. The only time I have found DPs not eating is when I bought them from petsmart when they are kept with aggressive species.
