trace elements in brackish tank

Post by gtrman »

Do figure eights in brackish water need supplemental trace elements or does the Instant Ocean contain all of the essentials ? I put trace elements in my cichlid tank and was curious if puffers could benefit from them also.

The instant ocean shoul contain everything you need with regular water changes. Aragonite is a great substrate to use with low end brackish to help buffer the pH. Other than that, you shouldn't need to add anything.

All they will need is marine salt, feeding, a 15 gallon tank (per F8 ) and a 50% water change weekly with a dechlorinator. Sorry for the space after the brackets in F8 since it reads it as 8)
Whats the point of a signature?!
