I am looking to get 2 F8s and i have read several things on the site about how they need hard foods to keep their teeth in check. I would prefer to keep the food frozen so what kind of food would be best but also were is the best place to get a kind with out additives that can hurt the puffer.Where online can you buy ghost shrimp and snails and they just be left in the tank with the puffers.
Also my LFS has 12 GSPs and F8s mixed together and i only want 2 F8s how can i make sure that the ones they say are F8s are F8s. Are their any times like when they are young that they look similar.
Thanks

There might be a freezer section at the LFS that has frozen foods like brine shrimp, or krill, or bloodworms. You can also buy shell-on seafood from a fish market or the grocery store.
F8s look like they have black stripes in the form of an 8 on their backs, and have a black dot on their tail.
see here and here for info on F8s and here for pictures.

If you want to buy you fish food from the grocery store...
you can use shell on shrimp (or just the last 1/2" of the tail)
mussels, clams...but remember the size of your fish, and the size of the food, if you overfeed and there is a lot of waste, it will foul up you water fast.
Personally, I feed mine frozen krill, store bought shrimp, snail, blood worms...all the above soaked in ZOE vitamins
