I have been lurking about here since catching the puffer bug around a year ago. I finally have a free 75 gallon aquarium that is begging to be filled with something, so I thought I would put my plans here for an expert to dissect. My lfs has received a pretty nice variety of puffers lately( Congo puffer (the lurker), one (very expensive) tetraodon schoutedeni, tank-raised(?) fahakas, a mbu, a huge number of 1.5" Auroglobus modestus, and figure

. I am currently thinking that I may go with the Modestus which are fascinating and active or figure-8s which are the puffers that first caught my eye a while back. Does any one have direct experience with both that could comment on which gave the most enjoyment? I know both could be kept in smaller tanks, but it is my preference to keep small fish in large tanks anyway.
From what I've read both these puffers are quite adaptable to water parameters in terms of hardness and ph, but it may be worth mentioning my tap water has TDS close to 400ppm.
Thanks!
