Filter for Dwarf Puffer.

Hey again .
I am almost ready to get my new puffer fish (Dwarf Puffer)!!! I'm so excited!! I got an aquarium kit a long time ago and it comes with an underneath the gravel filter. Can I use these? I just want to have the perfect living space for my new little friend .

I may or may not have one running on my dp tank. This however was first tank. And yes as PP stated these are old tech and relatively ineffective. In the long run they can cause tank crashes. Aquaclears are perfect. If you have the cash ehiem canisters are amazing.

Thanks for clearing this up .
I went out and purchased a AquaClear 30 filter! It works great and sounds so quiet. My tank has been circulating for about 2 or 3 days. Im brining home my new 3 DPs tomorrow! I will post some pics on the forum when I get them!

Circulating??? This is not CYCLING your tank. Read the 1st 6 articles here: library/category/water-filtration/

+1 to PP comments circulating is not cycling please cycle your tank before bringing the dp's home.

I worded it wrong. I did CYCLE the tank properly.
I read the articles and followed them closely .
I am getting my puffers today! I'll keep you updated on them!
