frustrated with DP's

Post by Liz »

I had three DP's for the better part of a year, two males and a female, in a planted 10 gallon. Things happened and I opted to get rid of them and take the tank down, for time and money's sake (I am a relatively unemployed 17 year old). After a few months, I decided to start the tank back up again, and selected 3 and tried to pick out females so I wouldn't have two males fighting like before. It's hard to tell when they are so small and young though. Well, I'm beginning to think I have 3 males.

What should I do? I'd feel bad returning one or two and "trying again".

Add lots of decor and things to break up their line of sight and hopefully they will get along by avoiding each other. Good luck!

I've kept 5 males (no females) together without problems. Had any females been present it likely would not have worked as well.
