Considering a change.........

Post by Cinder »

I am thinking about changing my 55 gallon aquarium to a puffer home. What type of puffer would do best in that size? I prefer fresh water, but would do whatever I need to do to make the fish happy.

A green spotted puffer would be thrilled to live in a 55g! You could learn to go from FW-BW-SW during your years of keeping him. That's exactly how I got into SW myself.

Unfortunately, I cannot use my 55 gallon for a brackish or SW aquarium. It is the old type, with the steel frame.

Any suggestions for FW puffers?

Guess what we all used for SW before plastic tanks came out? Metaframe was the name of the game.
