Well, I currently have my figure 8 puffer in a 20 gallon tank with a Marineland bio-wheel filter. I just bought a 37 gallon tank and an Aqua Clear 50 filter (since I've read that you guys use them on here). I'm wondering what you guys put in your filters. It came with a pack of carbon, do I need to put that in there? Should I do two sponges and the biomax on top? What do you suggest? Also, should I start running this filter on my old tank right now (with the bio-wheel) to get some bacteria started in there? Oh, and all the gravel and most of the old water will also be transferred to the new tank.
Thanks!

Re: New Tank & Filter Question
Save the carbon for a day you may need to remove meds or just go ahead & use it for 30 days & then toss it. I use the sponge on bottom, 1" filter floss (to polish the water crystal clear) & the BioMax on top.
You are getting sleepy... you only hear the sound of my voice... you must do water changes... water changes... water changes... water changes...
