Horney the horned burrfish

Post by Horneypuffer »

I was delivered this Saturday by a friend , if you look in my greetings thread the whole story, he is in qt under hypo due to having ich. He is improving but the only thing he will eat is live ghost shrimp he was eating frozen ghost shrimp at the lfs per the person who picked him up. I have tried a special blend that a friend of mine makes out of fresh seafood that I have never seen a fish turn down. It's like crack for fish. The burrfish just takes it in and spits it back out.

I am not to worried right now as he is eating the ghost shrimp and is recouping from the ich fairly well. Once he is ich free and treated for IP I will fast him a little while to try and get him on the other.

Any info and help with this little guy would be helpful.

Be sure you gut-load those shrimp with healthy meaty foods, soaked in Selcon/VitaChem.

Put them in a critter-keeper with the food.

I have him eating frozen uncooked shrimp now and am soaking it. All the ich is gone and he is doing fine, he is in hypo and doing well. Will be there for another 6 weeks or so.
