I cant believe im back here again. I have been monitoring my GSP and doing every thing possible for him to do well since the last time I asked you guys to help me with his ammonia poisoning. He was doing great until the middle of last week. I thought things would get better with 80% water changes, but they have not. I know I have been told to get a bigger tank. I feel embarrassed that im in this situation again. What can be going on with my GSP? He seemed well after you guys helped me the first time. I never let my Ammonia get high. Could it be a parasite? His poop is like a green pea. I have not seen that. I tried to marinade his food with some Jungles Parasite Clear tabs, but he would only take about 2 bites. I thought my tank was actually cycled.
My GSP is in trouble right now.Ever since last week His belly has been dark and white off and on again, he's been hanging out by the filter again. Hes just lethargic and not moving around like before. I have done two 8 gallon water changes this week! His water parameters have been the following:

I have been feeding him cooked clams for about 2 months.
I have been adding at least 2 tbsp of sea salt per day. Or almost every day. The salinity as of today is 0.000.
All I want is just my single GSP I don't want any other fish. What size tank should I move him to if I am just planing on keeping a single GSP? Could I just get a protein skimmer or something like that to help?

3) Feeding, water change schedule and a list of all products you are using or have added to the tank (examples: Cycle, Amquel, salt, etc)
4) What changes you've made in the tank in the last week or so. Sometimes its the little things that make all the difference.
5) How long the aquarium has been set up, and how did you cycle it? If you don't know what cycling is read this: Fishless Cycling Article and familiarize yourself with all the information. Yes. All of it.
We want to help, and providing this information will go a LONG way to getting a diagnosis and hopeful cure that much faster.
While you wait for assistance:
One of the easiest and best ways to help your fish feel better is clean water! If you are already on a regular water change schedule (50% weekly is recommended) a good step to making your fish more comfortable while waiting for diagnosis/suggestions is to do a large water change immediately. Feel free to repeat daily or as often as you can, clean water is always a good thing! Use of Amquel or Prime as a dechlor may help with any ammonia or nitrite issues, and is highly recommended.
Note - if you do not normally do large water changes, doing a sudden, large water change could shock your fish by suddenly changing their established water chemistry. Clean water is still your first goal, so in this case, do several smaller (10%) water changes over the next day or two before starting any large ones.

the tank seems to be going through a cycle. keep up with the water changes. How big is the tank and what is the spicific gravity (SG)? aka the salt level?

I think there's alot of confusion here.. FW sg would be at 1.000. I am not sure how U balance the adding of salt and the wc. 10g is really way too small. What would the filtration/media, dechlorinator that U are using? For 2 months, even if U do it wrong, the tank should have cycled unless something/procedure that u are doing is very very wrong.. Feed raw food.. Never cooked food. i would say for now, keep doing the big wc and skip the salt for now. Its just a waste on the $alt. And getting a way bigger tank is a must. So, its either the fish or the bigger tank.
Btw, smaller tanks are much much harder to manage.

the only thing you can do at the moment is the water changes. If you can do 50% daily and the puff is doing better that is great. If not, than 2x 30% will be the same. It depends on how much time you have on your hands. As it is feeling ill you can consider it a full time job.
See if you can't pick up some instant ocean when you get the chance. Getting it into SW will help immensely.
Also do a search on ebay for a refractometer, I got mine for about $40. It is a one time investment and well worth it.
For dechlor I use Seachem's Prime. I feel that is the best on the market. Tetra also has a good one, but I like Prime better.
The set up / filtration of the tanks are all dependent on their size. My FW tanks are all HOBs (hang on the back) aquaclear filters. My SW tanks are either inline, canisters, or sumps. Although I don't have one, the TOM's HOB canister would be ideal for your new 30 gal. I have never called a filter sexy before but, they are.

actually, that puff looks really good.
they do turn dark when sleeping and kind of camo themselves. I think you're doing an excellent job.
Once you upgrade, I am certain more decor will help so he can have a peaceful place to rest. IMO (in my opinion) it was kind of a panic attack to the dark colors and sleeping near the filter. More decor, and keep up the water changes until the tank cycles.
Once the tank has cycled, (should be soon now), you can move that filter over to the larger tank along with the decor and substrate etc. For now, just keep doing what you are doing =)

Btw I read temp is at 86-90f, it too high imo.. Drop it to ard 25-26c would be fine. Upgrade the filter if U can.. That pad thing doesn't look too effective at holding bacterial.. the pad is in tank water, right? JP is right.. The little guy doesn't look too bad. Throw in more deco, it may help to make them feel better.

He looks pretty good, if you are getting ammonia grab a bottle of prime and do plenty of waterchanges with prime double dosed. It will detoxify the ammo but enable your cycle to complete
It's amazing how easy maintenance is. If done regularly and thoroughly

Thanks for all of you're help guys. After I did that water change last night I did a API water test. My GSP continues to hang out by the water filter and just lay on the ground. However at times he is active and swims around the tank and keeps his belly white color. I posted this youtube video about my water test results. Let me know if you guys think the test results are common for a cycled tank.
