Building new planted tank.

Hi:)
I am working on a new tank that will be 70x35x60 cm.(long an high so i can have bigger plants)
Do you recommend any puffer for this kind of a tank?

Dps will be your best choice as they will not rearrange your plants, the red eye species would also be worth a look. Make sure your tank is fully cycled before adding anything tho

DP, they love heavy bush planted tanks ñ_ñ, at least my DP do it...

When cycling your tank be sure to use a fishless cycling method. It sounds a bit odd to have a fish tank without fish, but in the long run it's best thing for the fish, and you.

I have been running a 70x35x35 aquastabil tank for 2 months now with just a blend of livebreeders and plants, I am just adding more height to it. i'll be using same gravel and pump. My glass will be arriving on Monday, can't wait.

I am(or was) thinking about adding my albino longfin anchistrus to this tank. I'm guessing that the would end up short fined or even dead?
an how many dp could i have in this tank?
or could i have Tetraodon fluviatilis, Topaz Puffer in it?

Don't add the albino longfin because yes, it will either become short-finned or dead.

Okay, so if I am not mistakes your tank will be about 29 gallons (roughly 110 litres), correct? If so, the Tetraodon fluviatilis, also known as a Ceylon puffer (or topaz puffer) is out of the question. They require 40gallons or more, and a high SG 1.018-full marine.

I'd say you could stock 5-6 dwarf puffers. However, you'd need to have all girls, and only one boy or just all girls, as males will fight.

I have always calculated 147 liters, roughly 130 liters of water. Am i doing this wrong?

126 litres so realistically 110l useable volume

Is there any puffer at all that could work with anchistrus, A was looking forward to have two of those in well planted aquarium.
If not I'll just put them in other tank and go with maybe 2x South American Puffer for the planted one.

No puffer will allow long finned friends. Most allow no friends at all

Do you think I could go for 2 or 3 South American Puffers with lot of plant decorations?
