Going strong with my F8

Post by Pufftastic »

It's been almost a year since I got my F8 puff, Hula, and I'm pleased to report that she's doing beautifully -- thanks to everything I've learned on TPF. She has a 29 gallon tank all to herself and uses every inch of it, even though she's still very small (about one inch in body length without tail). I hadn't realized that F8s grow so slowly! I try to think back to when she was just a teeny-tiny pufflet, though, and I can see that while her growth has been slow (to my eyes anyway), it's also been steady.

Her primary diet is ramshorn snails, although she enjoys ghost shrimp from time to time, and occasionally bloodworms. I honestly think she likes the red ramshorns best! She's extra-ferocious when I feed that color.

I haven't been on the forum much lately, but I've caught up with everything I missed and am glad to be back. :D As always, I enjoy hearing about everyone's puffers!

Thought I'd share a shot of Hula's lovely backside:

Yay :)
It is absurd to talk of one animal being higher than another. We consider those, when the cerebral structure/intellectual faculties most developed, as highest. A bee doubtless would when the instincts were.

The woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang the best. Use the talents you possess.
