Florida Puffers
Hey guys, I was just in Florida for spring break last week, and did a fair amount of fishing. While i was down by Ft. De Soto, one of the fish I was using for bait came back with a nice smooth notch out of its back, just behind the head. It was about 1/4 to 1/2 in wide and about as deep. I asked one of the guys who was with me, and he said it was a puffer bite. Any idea what kind of puffer it could have been?

Re: Florida Puffers
There is quite a number of puffer species native to Florida waters (several Sphoeroides species are quite common). Hard to tell which one it was from a bite... maybe we'd have to ask nearby CSI Miami.
Give a man a fish, and he'll eat for a day. Give a fish a man, and he'll eat for weeks.
