im getting a dwarf pea puffer soon and i just wondered if you could tell me the best feeding schedule for it.im getting just 1 btw.

how many snails at one time should i put in?

how many times a week should i give it snails?

how many times a day should i feed it frozen food?

and how much live food at each feeding?

ive just heard so many different things.i found this puffer forum so i thought id find out from you guys what your advice is

you feed until the belly is slightly rounded. BUT seeing as you don't have it yet... they can be picky, VERY picky. If you pick it up yourself, look for a nice rounded one and see what the LFS is feeding it. And come back to watch it feed. Duplicate that and add to the diet.

Many many DPs starve or have IPs or what not.

Live snails,
Live shrimp fry
Live blackworms
or Frozen Mysis shrimp

If it eats and eats consistently.. you're in luck. If not you have an uphill battle.

When I was feeding mine it was 5 days on 2 days off, but never 2 days off back to back.
