Aquarium Salt contents

I have a large amount of canning salt (pure salt, no iodine or anti-clumping agents, etc...). However, I've read that there are differences in mineral content between ocean salt and freshwater aquarium salt, and that brackish critters need the ocean style. Does anyone know what those differences are? Further, does freshwater aquarium salt contain anything besides pure salt?
