Can I keep normal shrimp and crabs with a pistol shrimp?

I thought they'd be ok but just watch a vid where the pistol shrimp ate a candy shrimp

Also how big do Pistol shrimp get?

My mom keeps one in her 28g with 2 fireshrimp and several types of crabs with no problems.

She had a emerald crab but he just died for some reason. Other than that, about 4 hermits and pom pom crab. I've seen the hermits and snails go in the shrimp hole and come out alive.

My Tiger Pistol is kept with 3 peppermint shrimp , a skunk cleaner and a nimble spray crab . They all get along fine . You wont see the pistol shrimp since hes usually underground , but constantly moving . Mine comes out when im spot feeding my goby or when it pushing the substrate , like a bulldozer. Make sure you place your rock directly on the glass or on egg crate . Since the shrimp is a digger you dont want anything falling over and breaking glass.
