Hurricane Irene

Post by xrayjeeper83 »

Well looks like I will be having a fun time with my fish tanks at the end of the week. We have a hurricane headed right for us, which means possible no power for a few days, and a lot of hours at work.

Looks like 2 water changes this week. Gotta do one before the power goes out.

Chuck I know your in the path to, what are you doing to prepare?

Well I will be using my battery backup at first and then I do have a power inverter that I can plug in to the car lighter plug and us that to keep pumps going ! Im hoping the power will only be out for a day ! They better have there stuff together since the last round! If I really need it I can pick up a generator from work!

You should just invest in a generator off craigslist honestly! My buddy had a fish tank in Florida and when the power was out there they didn't have one lost like 5,000$ in fish and reef equipment and such
