Not yet. Still setting up the tank (washing sand). Hope to get some pics soon! He's sort of a rusty orange. We named him Bevo since we live in Texas and Bevo the long horn (UT'S mascot) is burnt orange just like the teams colors :p

What's he eating? To maintain his bright color (or even brighter red), I'd use 75% black sand & 25% red gravel. If you use pale, white or brown/tan sand, he will lighten to match it.

He's eating black worms and ghost shrimp. He ate three ghost shrimp in about 30 seconds flat! I have a tank with hundreds of RCS. Gonna keep them gut loaded. I have guppy/endler fry as well, probably gonna throw a few in his tank. He's floating in the peas tank right now...trying his best to get at them through the bag. I have light sand in there right now...it's all I have available right now. I plan on getting some red and black gravel soon and slowly swapping it out. I HATE gravel!!! I really want to keep his colors strong though. He's a beauty, first I've seen in person. I tried my hardest to leave the store without him...I couldn't though...I know I would have regretted it. I have way too many tanks right now...lol! 11 to be exact if you count my "food breeding tanks".

Watch out, he'll bite through the bag! Why is he floating in there?

I got him in another city. It was a long drive home. His tank is now set up. Luckily I had a new 20L In my garage I bought last month from Petco's $1/gallon sale. I've been washing sand and pulling filter floss and decorations from other tanks to put in his. I'm acclimating him now. He'll be in his new tank within the next 30 minutes. He was triple bagged :).

PP, what are your thoughts on black sand. Particularly Tahitian Moon Sand?

I think that's the black sand in my tank but mixed with red gravel.

is the Tahitian Moon Sand smooth enough for soft bellies?
i was under the impression that it wasn't particularly smooth-grained

Looks like I'll be keeping an eye out for some black sand. He is not nearly as orange as he was at the lfs. I believe they had a brown gravel in his tank. I threw 5 guppy fry and five baby rcs in with him last night...he loved hunting the fry! He seems far more aggressive than p-nut. All but one rcs was left this morning.
